Haiti faces frequent natural disasters and ongoing challenges from social unrest. We work alongside local leaders and trusted partners to deliver immediate relief and create sustainable recovery programs.

  • In partnership with community-based organizations, we’ve built networks of trained volunteers who help their neighbors before, during and after disasters.
  • With Locally Haiti, we support frontline healthcare by equipping community health workers, running mobile vaccination campaigns and training traditional birth attendants in Petit Trou.
  • Through IDEJEN (Initiative pour le Développement des Jeunes) (Haitian Youth Livelihood Initiative), we provide cash assistance to women and girls displaced by gang violence in Port-au-Prince.

We also work with IDEJEN to expand Savings with Education (SwE) groups, giving families in earthquake-affected areas access to microloans and financial literacy training.

Our Results in 2023

4,460 individuals directly reached by long-term development programs

3,391 women engaged in economic empowerment activities

4,306 individuals actively involved in Savings with Education (SwE) micro-finance programming
