Results of 2012 Matching Gift Challenge

February 11, 2012

In late 2012, inspired by Episcopal Relief & Development’s life-saving work, a group of generous supporters pledged $300,000 in matching funds toward the 2012 Matching Gift Challenge. The numbers are in and Episcopal Relief & Development is pleased to announce that our year-end challenge raised over $839,300 to help further our mission of healing a hurting world.

“I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout this past year, and especially to those who helped make the 2012 Matching Gift Challenge such a success,” said Joy Shigaki, Episcopal Relief & Development’s Senior Director of Advancement. “The matching funds enabled us to multiply the impact of end-of-year gifts and ensure continued support for our core programs.”

The $300,000 match was applied to the Global Needs Fund, which helps sustain Episcopal Relief & Development’s work toward alleviating hunger, promoting health, creating economic opportunities and overcoming disasters.
