Supporting the Anglican Diocese of the Amazon in Response to Fire in Brazil

Under the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, donors age 70½ or older are once again eligible to make tax-free transfers – up to $100,000 annually, from their traditional or Roth IRAs (individual retirement accounts) directly to qualified charities, including Episcopal Relief & Development.

With the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, Congress has reinstated the IRA Rollover Law through December 13, 2013. If you are over age 70½, you can make tax-free charitable gifts to Episcopal Relief & Development from your individual retirement account (IRA), up to $100,000.

Under this legislation, individuals can roll over funds from their IRAs directly to qualified public charities. Properly transferred funds will not be counted as taxable income, and will be included in your required minimum distribution for that year.
