Celebrating a year in disaster response

A Year In Review

2021 brought us devastating events like the winter storm, ravaging fires, tornadoes across the south and central US and COVID-19 surges. Though heartbreaking, The Episcopal Church rose to the occasion. Together we saw opportunities to reach people on the margins. Episcopal Relief & Development partnered with Episcopal dioceses around the country to address food insecurity, provide PPE and other supplies in their communities, leveraging existing assets like gardens, kitchens and relationships with local organizations. Together, we restocked church food pantries, provided mental-health first aid training and ensured safe and secure housing for displaced families. Take a look at this Episcopal Asset Map embed that tells the story of disaster response in the Church this year. Note: You can make a story map too! Simply contact your Diocesan Map Administrator.
