Holy Cow, It’s Gifts for Life!

It was five years ago that Ms. Betsy Davis and her sister first donned a cow costume for the annual Christmas Pageant.  “The cow didn’t look anything like a cow, so I hung a sign around its neck that said Holy Cow,” said Ms. Davis.  The Holy Cow costume has become a staple in the Christmas celebration of the parish.

A wave of revitalization has swept over Grace Episcopal Church in Whitestone, NY.  The economic downturn of 2008 had hit congregations across the country, and Grace was no exception, but a new rector sparked a movement to get the church growing again. 

Barbecue is serious business in Austin, Texas.  But it’s also a great way to bring people together for food, fun, fellowship, and a bit of friendly competition! 

Surrounded by natural splendor in Pacific Palisades, California, St. Matthew’s Parish School is the perfect setting for students to learn about God’s abundant Creation.  With rolling hills, open meadows and groves of oak trees, the school grounds make a paradise where students can explore and develop their skills and interests.

Atlanta Diocese Unites to Stop Malaria

Atlanta has played a major part in the fight against malaria, both historically in the United States and now as a major force in the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund, Episcopal Relief & Development’s church-wide, grassroots effort to raise awareness and support for malaria prevention.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida, celebrated Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday this year by entertaining two very special guests named Julia and Martha. Julia and Martha visited the Godly Play students (ages three to eight) to share a meal, get to know each other and raise awareness about the impact of Episcopal Relief & Development’s Gifts for Life program.

Happy "Holly Days" in Vineyard Haven

An “Ark” Full of Gifts for Life

Alleviating hunger is a major focus for the outreach ministries of Calvary Episcopal Church in Williamsville, NY. The congregation has a long-standing relationship with the local food bank, but last fall the rector, the Rev. Ethan Cole, challenged the outreach committee to launch a year-long project that would involve the whole parish, including children and youth.
